  1. GOODD Says:

Feed a better quality food. Anything you can get from Wal-Mart or the grocery store has grains, fillers and additives that can cause all types of problems for your dog. Including bad breath and tartar build up.

Wellness has an excellent line of dog food, including Wellness Core, which is grain free.

Yes. Make an appointment with your vet for a wellness checkup and if there is nothing internal going on (which can cause bad breath), get him scheduled for a dental.

Yes, take him to the vet and they will clean them. Clean, healthy teeth are vital to a dog’s overall health. Once they are clean, give him rawhide bones and other chews. It doesn’t cost that much, and as I’mm sure you love your dog, you will want the best for him.

Buy him a real bone to chew on. He could chew on rib bones from the butcher. I give my JRT knuckle bones that clean the teeth, their bigger but he can chew on them.

You could probably try brushing her teeth.
They sell toothpaste for dogs in Pet stores.
    Good Luck!

My baby had yellow teeth and the worst breath too! Don’t worry though Petsmart has everything you need. I would buy “Beautiful Teeth” toothpaste and “small breed” toothbrush. He will probably put up a fight, but after brushing them and taking care of them this will help their Hygiene overall as well as prevent gum disease and uncomfortably when eating that we never even notice. As far as the breath, they make bones now with teeth cleaners and mints in them to help prevent bad breath. Cooper loves them and he has better breath now too, which makes mommy very happy! I hope this helped! Good Luck!

He needs to eat kibble so the crunching action scrapes the plaque off his teeth, get him some greenies treats to supplement his dental plan as well.

  8. Sandy C Says:

First off he needs a dental cleaning. After that start brushing his teeth daily. If he won’t let U, ask your Vet about using a product that U can put in their water. Keep him on dry food only.

  9. Dr Bob Says:

Dog bad breath mostly from the tongue rather than from the teeth. You can clean your dog’s tongue by using OraBrush tongue cleaner. Dogs have bad breath just like humans and the only way to really control bad breath is to remove the bacteria that produce sulfur containing compounds which smell, that is bad breath.
