Its one of the bosses actually. I mean I don’t want to be rude coz that could cost me my job. But it really does stink and a lot of people in the office are laughing at his back.

He’s nice to me so I want to be nice to him too. How should I do it?

I wouldnt say anything out in the open, sort of beat around the bush, like bring mints to work, and when you smell something funky, just ask him and say” hey, i have some mints, you want some.”

In a nice way, pull out some gum or mints and say, ” I just ate a lunch full of garlic, and although I like it in my food, I really dislike bad breath. Would you like some gum or mints, too?

Oh gosh…this is a tough situation. One time I had a friend who had really bad B.O. I mean he reeked!! I anonymously put soap and deodorant in his college mailbox. He never knew it was me, but I think he got the idea. I didn’t want to hurt or embarrass him. So, with your boss, if it were me, I would slip him an anonymous note kindly telling him that his breath is very noticeable. I would include a trial bottle of mouthwash and some mints. That way, he is not put on the spot and embarrassed, and he will never know who did it. Good luck. You are a nice person.

If he’s a superior, don’t say anything. He’ll never forget it. You’ll be embarrassing him and he may just want to not be around you anymore. send an anonymous card.

pull y our boss asside i could have been that boss. i had bad breath and didnt know it. i brushed after every meal and i used mints often but i guess i was still bad. till i had a coworker told me to go to his ent i didnt know wat for and went and found it was stomach acids that were comming up causing the bad breath due to the flap in my throat would not close all the way. so it might be more then just bad breath happening.

The next time you’re alone and no one is around say something like this:

“This is always a difficult thing to discuss, but I’m worried about your health. You may not know it but you have bad breath.”

My mom had mouth cancer. Before it was diagnosed she had bad breath and continued to have it for awhile during treatment. Once the cancer was gone her breath freshened up.

Not saying your boss has cancer but he should see someone about it. Bad breath isn’t always the result of bad oral hygiene. Diabetes can cause bad breath in some people and there’s a host of other issues that can cause it.

Assure your boss that you’re bringing it up because it is noticeable and that you’d like to know he’s well.

Offer him gum when ure chewing on one. And say that it tastes really good. At least it’s gonna keep the mouth smell good for one day.
