if all else fails, chew gum. but the usual flossing, brushing all surfaces of your mouth, regularly getting your teeth professionally cleaned, and gargling listerine should do it. maybe ask a trusted friend what they think. good luck and happy dating!

Definitley practicing good oral hygiene and mouthwashes will help you with this. Make sure you brush your tongue when you brush your teeth. Cavities can also cause a bad smell from your mouth so make sure you are visiting the dentist regularly. You can also ask your dentist if she/he thinks you have bad breath. Sometimes people will think they have bad breath when they really don’t, this is called pseudo-halitosis or halitophobia. Also, if you chew gum, make sure it has xylitol in it, it can help prevent cavities (Orbit and Trident have it).
I would say talk with your dentist about this in order to get a strong answer that is tailored to you.

Brushing and flossing are very important for removing food and bacterial deposits that cause odors. If you haven’t had your teeth cleaned in the last 6 months, do so. Make sure you are taking care of the gums and not just the teeth when you brush and floss. If your gums bleed, keep after them. Brush 2 times a day for 2-3 minutes with a soft brush. Floss, 1 time a day, but make sure you get down around the gums well.
Sinus problems also contribute to bad breath. You could have a chronic sinus infection and the smell will be very foul. If you have allergy problems I would get it checked out.
If you want to use a mouth wash, the best for killing bacteria would be Listerine and/or Crest Pro Care. Rinse for 1 minute after brushing and/or flossing. Spit but don’t rinse it off.

…use mouth wash after flossing and brushing. listerine is a great product also colgate plax help remove bad breathe. maybe even carry around a little bottle of mouth spray…

…did you no almost 90% of bacteria is NOT found on teeth so get a toothbrush that has that tongue cleaner for gums, cheeks and tongue. that maybe the cause of your bad breathe….

See your dentist every 6 months, brush 3x daily, floss 1x daily and gargle with Listerine morning and night time. Arm & Hammer makes a great tooth paste for nighttime breath and it really works. (Baking soda in the toothpaste).
If you are doing all that and still concerned make a note of what you are eating. Spicy foods, garlic, onions…. will contribute to bad breath.
Allergies and Sinus problems are also a contributor partly because of the mouth-breathing (nasal passages blocked or stuffed) if that is an issue start with the over-the-counter allergy meds but also check with your doctor (some insurance companies won’t pay for prescription allergy meds until they are sure the over-the-counter ones won’t do the job)
**are you even sure you have bad breath** ask someone you trust that will give you an honest answer on the QT if you really even do have it-that also is a question you can ask your dentist or hygienist and they will give you a straight/professional answer, especially if they care about your well-being.
