bad breath
Chantelle_ asked:

everyday i find it hard to be more open and to talk to friends when theyre right next to me.
this is because of me feeling that i have bad breath.
in the mornings i have bad breath.
is this something i should check with the dentist?
and the teeth at the back of my mouth are still baby teeth.
and they probably have tooth decay.
can that be the cause of bad breath?
but otherwise how can i really tell if i had bad breath or not?
help please :(
this really affects my self esteem & confidence :(
xoxo Vall.

You can usually tell when everytime you open your mouth, the people around you just get knocked the f*ck out. You know, subtle signs like that.

If your mouth taste bad, if your mouth gets dry, also if your tongue looks yellow or white

Decayed teeth will always produce bad breath. An ideal way to check your own breath is this…..lick the back of your hand, wait about 3 seconds and smell where you licked. That’s what your breath smells like….try it now…it works. Take a toothbrush to work/school and brush every couple of hours.

bad breath can be caused by food decaying in the mouth, but is mostly caused by poor digestion.

Do you have a fury tongue in the morning? That is indicative of a digestive problem. If you do have a fury tongue gently scrape it off with a spoon in the mornings. Chew freshly grown mint (if you don’t have a garden you can grow mint in a pot on a balcony or by a window – its basically an unkillable weed!)

diets high in meat and processed foods overload the digestion and can cause ‘atkins’ breath (the weight loss program that was mostly protein and ft). Reduce the meat and fatty foods and replace them with fruit and fresh vegetables *not fried*

Diets low in fibre put a strain on the digestion. So as mentioned above increase fruit and vegies.
So does drinking milk if you are lactose intolerant. So you could try switching to lactose free milk if you can stand it.

avoid coffee and tea they are guaranteed to give you bad breath if you have tummy troubles.

I guess thats about the best suggestions I can give you, cut down on meat and fried foods, increase fruit and vegies and cut out tea and coffee. Oh and don’t forget to clean your tongue as well as your teeth.

    Good luck

You know that you have bad breath when people whom you’re talking move their heads back when they are spoken to.

I am afraid the only way is to ask someone you trust and they will tell you. Certainly you should have a check up with the dentist. Bad teeth can cause bad breath and sometimes do, the dentist will help and advise with this part. In the meantime brush, floss, use inter-dent brushes and mouthwash twice a day – before going to bed at night and when you get up in the morning.

people usually notice they got bad breath by the taste they have in the mouth rather then the smell.if this is affecting your confidence and self esteem i suggest you go to a dentist and detail him or her with enough information so they in return would be able to seek and eliminate the source.
[what you can do in th mean time is]
brush your teeth “after” breakfast not before breakfast
apply enough toothpaste on your toothbrush
scrub in all areas “especially” the back “wisdoms”
scrub your tongue making sure you have killed all the bacteria
brush twice a day and if possible on lunch time breaks or when you have eaten a big meal
don’t eat oily or deep fried foods(have a fruit salad instead this will prevent bacteria from forming and causing bad breath, because its rich in vitamins and antioxidants + its good for ya.
    drink plenty of water
    carry mints
