Well, it is a little bit of a turn off to go to kiss your boyfriend and his breath smells funky, right? But it probably won’t affect a relationship too bad, cause if you think about it, if he going to let something that’s out of your control bother him, then maybe he’s not right for you. A good strong relationship can withstand anything. Even a little funky breath.

Does he know why your breath is bad? Tell him it will only be like this for a few more weeks…if he’s a decent guy he’ll understand and tolerate it. If you have bad breath all the time it wouldn’t be much fun for your lover…so it does affect relationships to a degree, hygiene counts for something after all.
To fix bad breath:
- Floss your teeth once a day.
- Brush your teeth for 2 minutes twice a day (morning and night).
- Use mouthwash.
To cover up bad breath:
- Suck on mints, candies, etc.
- Chew gum.

sometimes it does affect but yours is different since your having that bad breath because of infection and it will be healed soon, as you said it will be taken out in few weeks. i know he can understand your part but just can’t turn you down that’s why he keeps on giving you chewing gum. if he tries to kiss you, try to control and explain him that you don’t want him to be turned off because of the smell and wait until it will be fixed. if a man really loves you no matter how it smells, he won’t dare stop kissing you. just have a talk with him for that and see his reactions. if his reactions means hurting you, then better avoid him and time to look for another. coz not only in this case that you will be having bad breath. a certain type of sickness may cause also a person to produce bad breath, so what if you are married with him? understanding between each other’s feeling is the best way to stay intact with the relationship you have with him.
