My sisters lab had the worst breath. We found out that he was allergic to this dog food we were feeding him, which was causing the bad breath. She changed the food and had his teeth cleaned and his breath is 100% better.
well if changing to a dry food and treats dont work, it could be possible that the cat might have some dental issues and may need to have his/her teeth examined to make sure there is no tooth decay, etc. good luck
You can try a few things. First, go to the vet to rule out any teeth problems. If the teeth are OK, try switching to a less stinky food. Preferably something grain-free, or at least no corn or wheat gluten. Also, try giving Greenies cat treats. They are supposed to help freshen the cat’s breath.

Go to the pet store and buy special cat treats for cleaning their mouths and freshening their breath. There’s quite a few different ones.

There are actually cat treats that are meant to get rid of bad breath. I used them and they worked pretty well. They would be at any pet supply store.
