There is a bacteria that can live in the stomach that can cause bad breath. Talk to your doctor about being tested for it. I believe it is called H-Pylori or Heliobactor Pylori. Simple test. Keep at it until u get an answer. If your teeth and gums are healthy, you need to find out the reason for the bad breath.

Do you have allergies or trouble with sinus drainage. That can cause bad breathe especially when you are laying flat all night and the fluids drain down the back of your throat.

You need to ask a dentist. When was the last time you had your gums deep cleaned? When you brush your teeth, try lightly brushing your tongue as well. And, then gargle good with a strong mouth wash like Mint Listerine.

Use anti bactiral mouth wash, if it doesn’t burn (even a little) your not brushing good enough.
and it could be from your stomach
    chew breth freshining gum.

It could be your tongue. If you stick out your tongue and it has white/yellow layer of stuff that comes off when you scrap it, that’s the film of plaqe.

It could be a tartar stuck underneath your gum. For 5 years, if you haven’t been to a dentist, gum and teeth looks healthy but it could be nasty tartar. Go to your dentist and get their opinion. If it’s only your tongue, brush your tongue well and use listerine.(not scope, not generic brand). If it’s caused by calculus bridge (tartars), do a deep cleaning to remove them.

Keep your mouth moist by sucking on a candy or chewing gum. a dry mouth can give you bad breath sometimes.

If you don’t keep teeth and gums free of the bacterial buildup, they’ll start to cause odor as the bacteria rot leftover food particles in your mouth. A few seeds of cardamom chewed for a brief while will clear your mouth of bad breath. Chew parsley leaves, which are sure to keep your breath fresh. More useful remedies at
