What do you do when that boy you like has bad breath?

My daughter is dating this very nice young man. He is polite, respectful, intelligent, generous and kind. She has been seeing him about a month now. Unfortunately, he has very bad breath. I told her to offer him a mint, but she says he is often chewing gum. I told her she should politely tell him, but she doesn’t want to hurt his feelings. What should she do?

Get some listerine and challenge him to see who can “swish” it longest…which is actually pretty hard to do.
