No, its probably the old blood. If its OK with your dentist, rinse your mouth out gently with some salt water
AW you poor thing, try that mouthwash when you brush your teeth if you can. Get someone to help you with the mouthwash.
You probably do not have dry socket, it takes about 5 days for dry socket to manifest. Your discomfort should decrease on your third day, as well as the swelling. Just make sure you don’t spit forcibly, smoke or suck through a straw, any suction will dislodge the delicate blood clot covering the bone in your extraction site, the exposed bone is called “dry socket” and is very painful.. The bad breathe is probably from decreased brushing and flossing (typical following extractions). Just make sure the odor is not foul and accompanied with a fever. If that is the case contact your DDS and get a round of antibiotics. Dr Bill
RINSE THREE TIMES A DAY WITH LUKWARM SALT WATER. UNLESS YOU HAVE UNBEARABLE PAIN YOU DON’T HAVE DRY SOCKET. THERE MAY SOME FESTERING FOOD STUCK INSIDE YOUR SOCKETS. RINSE WELL DAILY WITH SALTWATER.
Hi There,
I did the same thing , the dentist took all my wisdom teeth in one day and it hurt me a lot. I used pain meds and salty water rinse five times a day it should speed up the healing process, but if after four or five days you’re still in pain see your dentist immediately, it could you got infection and need antibiotics, I wish you the best of luck.
