I have bad breath and I need solutions?

bad breath
Ted L asked:

Well, I have really bad breath. Even if I brush, an hour or two later it gets to be really bad. I’m starting to have to carry gum or mints on me, it’s pretty annoying. I use colgate toothpaste, and when I brush it’s for a minute or longer.

Any help is appreciated

    They say to drink lots of water. This helps flush out the odors in the mouth to your waste.

    Go to a Dentist.

    If I were you, I would brush your teeth like you are doing and then floss to get rid of the gunk between your teeth. After that I would rinse with a mouth wash like Listerine. I like Listerine because, it is an antiseptic and though, the first few times it will kind of burn, I just don’t see how bacteria can survive it.

    I like the mint flavors.

    If that doesn’t help your bad breath, then I would go to a Doctor for a physical or to a Dentist. I do know that sometimes stomach problems or something like an infection can cause bad breath. For instance, I was told by a Doctor that a sore throat combined with bad breath can indicate strep throat.

    1st. see a dentist
    2nd. see a Family doctor
    3rd.start flossing your teeth
    4th. do you have little white spots on your tonsils ? – this could be the cause of bad smell.

    Some type of mouthwash will probably help. I use Crest Pro Health. It works pretty good and keeps your mouth minty for a few hours! :)

    The most common and significant cause of bad breath is periodontal disease. The bad breath comes from the bacteria and their by products which lodge in your gum pockets. the solution is treatment by a dentist. Stomach problems almost never cause bad breath.

    There are many causes of bad breath. If you are sure of your oral hygiene, then perhaps the best choice is to ask your dentist concerning your bad breath. The number one bad breath cause is without question oral bacteria living inside your mouth. You can reduce bad breath problems by lowering your consumption of high-protein foods because these are favorites of oral bacteria. Another way to keep the population of oral bacteria under control is drink plenty of water. Unfortunately, however, there are times when a larger internal medical problem is the source of the bad breath. Dentists typically rely upon a Halimeter to first determine if the bad breath is coming from the oral cavity. If it is not, then it is possible that one of the following conditions is the cause of bad breath:

    * Pneumonia
    * Chronic Sinus Infections
    * Postnasal Drip
    * Bronchitis
    * Diabetes
    * Severe Acid Reflux
    * Kidney Disease
    * Liver Disease

    Gargle a cup of lukewarm water mixed with salt or half a lemon juice.This is best done before going to bed. Chew parsley leaves,which are sure to keep your breath fresh. Put a few drops of tea tree oil on your toothbrush top it with toothpaste, and then brush your teeth. More useful remedies at
