Would you tell somebody that their Breath smelled bad even if you thought they would get offended?

I guess its not what you say but how you say it. But sometimes now matter how you tell them, they still take offense to it. Sometimes people that dont want to say anything, will just sit their and let the person whos breath smells keep talking, meanwhile, the person thats listening nose is getting hit with an unwanted smell. Then you offer them a piece of candy or gum, some will take some and catch a hint, and some will turn it down.
How many people can really be honestly enough to tell somebody their dosnt smell good?.
breath—-I left a word out.

Only if I knew they wouldn’t be offended.

it depends on the person

Yes of course. Tell them quietly, politely, as a friend. You’d be doing them a favor. How they respond is up to them.

I’d tell them anyway, I’m blunt and to the point, why should we suffer? I don’t find it all too fair for me to suffer bad breath just because you want to hold a conversation knowing you didn’t brush or gargle this morning…. gingivitis is a disease, so why make everyone else suffer for it??

No. You should just be straight and frank, but dont be too cruel unless u really hate the person or if u want to ditch somebody.

It’s a very bad smell when someone has halitosis. If you know them well, I might whisper it in their ear and offer mints or something at the same time. Hopefully it’s not a situation where their breath might affect an outcome. Like a big sale.

Depends. If it’s someone I don’t want to be around, yes in a heart beat. But if it’s someone I either need or someone that I care about, no.
Here’s why it’s a depends.
If you don’t like them, why do you care. If it will possibly make them go away faster then by all means, GO AWAY.
But, if this is someone you have to work with, or someone that you are friends with (even if it’s a friend of situation), or someone who’s help/assistance/etc that you need, then by all means NOOOOOOOO!
Just realize that for some people it’s not a choice, they don’t choose to have bad breath they just do. It’s the same as being short, or bald, or having bad skin. THEY JUST DO.
And telling them about it would be the same as if someone walked up and pointed out your most obvious flaw.

Just give them the gum and hopefully they’ll catch on and rectify it.

I have trouble with bad breath when I get allergies. I have mints. I like to be told so I can do something about it.
Lets not play a game by offerring a mint as a hint. I would tell someone Your breath doesn’t smell so good, here have a mint. That way they can do something to solve it.
