I work with someone like that.. and he’s a friend.. I always offer him a mint after asking him if he’d eaten a shat sandwich

Just go like this. Hey you have bad breath you fucken sick monkey. I was with a chick with bad breath once. It was really uncomfortable cause she tried to kiss me and I had to avoid them some how.

ask them if they want some gum. say that you think your breathe smells. then they’ll think about their own. if you do this a few times hopefully they’ll get the idea that you are really into nice smelling breath and they’ll pay more attention.

i worked with a girl one time her breath was so bad, when she talked it made MY throat burn, I was always loading her up with mint and gum!!!

oh my god, i dated this guy who was the sweetest guy ever. Unfortunately he had the worst breath ever as well. It was so bad his nickname was hot breath. *shudder* Anywho, none of his Friends told him and it was like the biggest joke, finally i had to just be upfront (well not that upfront lol) and tell him that unless he wanted me to kiss him then he had better get that breath under control. Hey, i did it as nice as possible.

There are several ways:
1. Offer some Altoids and take some yourself, that way no one thinks they stink, they think it’s mere courtesy.
2. Draw a cartoon of your friend with skulls and skunks coming out of his or her mouth and send it anonymously to their home.
3. Turn your head around when they speak.
4. Try to synchronize your breathing with the times when the person is silent.
5. Just say: Hello Stinky one! and when they ask just go Woo Hoo someone ate a ton of garlic today!
The list could go on but I am in a foul mood…and don’t want this to get too sarcastic.

Yes I did. It didn’t go too well, but in the end I feel like I did them a favor by giving them a clue.
One guy had slightly bad breath, just enough to be a turnoff durring a kiss. I would tell him how sexy minty fresh breath was. … I think he took the hint because he started drinking sweet fruit juice, chewing gum, or brushing his teeth before every time we got into the good kisses
There was another who had horible breath. It was caused by his bad teeth that I knew were causing him problems. I told him that he should brush his teeth or at least use mouthwash more often so that his teeth wouldn’t have as much bacteria to keep them decaying so quickly. I also told him that minty fresh breath was a turnon. … He acted a bit insulted, but I feel that good hygene is important. Whatever causes bad breath in the one that you date could pass to you durring a kiss. He still has problems with his breath, but they aren’t as bad. He is more willing to brush for his current g/f. I think I softened him up a bit.
I have also had some friends with bad breath. I would offer them gum and tictacs when we were hanging out. I took a piece for myself too to make it less insulting. And if they said something to me as if they wondered why people backed off, I would try to gently tell them that their breath wasn’t so good. How I said it depended on their personality. One of my best friends smelled as if he had been chewing on dog poop (seriously – it was nasty. But he was a real sweet guy) I told him that his breath sometimes doesn’t smell so good. Then I asked him what kinds of foods he eats. Then I told him that after I eat something, I always chew 1 piece of doublemint gum to kinda “brush” my teeth, spit it out, and chew another to freshen my breath. He asked me for a couple of pieces of gum and started following my lead.

If you are a real friend then pull them to the side and tell them the
truth. If they start to get angry then tell them would they rather not
be told the truth and people will talk about them behind their backs
would they like that better? Simple as that.
Wouldn’t you want a friend to tell you something like that if others
were giving you funny looks then to not tell you and then you will
be the one talked about. Usually, you cannot smell your own breath.
