Keep breath mints on you all the time and when you brush your teeth be sure to brush your tongue along with it, that will help take off most of that nasty smelling bacteria that gives you bad breath. Also mouth wash = very helpful.
You can actually go to your doctor and he can prescribe you medicine, you can get special toothpaste from your dentist, extra strength mouthwash, always chew on gum & altoids
Do you have an old piece of food stuck in your molars. Brush your teeth and tongue very well AND floss after. Also start using Listerine every time, If you have had a runny/snotty nose or a recent sinus infection. Old snot in your sinus zone can cause your breath to be funky. So use those brushing tips. And if your breath is still stinky go to the dentist and get them to check up on it.
If you are having continuing halitosis with out relief from scraping the tongue or brushing your teeth, the you should see your dentist There may be something wrong with the bacteria in your mouth or something wrong with your teeth. They can also prescribe you something strong than you can’t get over the counter.
Brush your teeth 3 times a day, make sure to get your TONGUE and go as far back as possible! The rear molars is where most of the bacteria causing bad breath begins.
Suck on mints / chew gum whenever possible.
FLOSS :D
Buy some mints every so often, have about 2 an hour or something. Also, when you brush your teeth, clean your tounge and gums and not just your teeth… you will be surprised at the difference it makes to your breath.
Watch what you eat. Then, after you eat chew minty gum. When you wake up brush your teeth then use mouthwash. Do the same when you get ready to go to bed. You should also brush your teeth after everytime you eat.
make sure that you brush your tongue when you brush your teeth…eat fruits that make you salivate a lot (flushes out bacteria that causes bad breath). Buy mouth wash and tooth paste called breath RX. It’s made just for ppl with chronic halitosis. Brush your teeth 2-3 times a day to help flush out those bad bacteria. and drink plenty of water. a moistened mouth smells much better
- Pluckers micro mint
- 2 types of toothpaste
- A hard manual toothbrush with a tongue scraper on the back
- A rechargeable electronic toothbrush.
- Listerine mouthwash
Routine
When you get up in the morning before you have a wash and after youve eaten breakfast scrub your teeth with the manual toothbrush, finishing off with using your tongue scraper, and spitting out contents of mouth regularly.
straight away after that use the other toothpaste with the electronic toothbrush, finally finishing with a mouthful of listerine mouthwash.
Then go about your daily business.
During the night time, 2 or 3 times a week, maybe more or less - Use the pluckers, which are basically an easy to use flosser, followed up by a brush and some mouthwash.
It also wouldnt hurt to use chewing gum, sugar free variety.
I reference the School of Dental Medicine of New York state. The say that 80-90% of bad breath is cause by the bacteria Solobacterium mooorei, which is on the top of the tongue. They cured 100% of those in their study if they brushed their teeth and cleaned their tongue twice a day, morning and night. I suggest you follow their research program. However, you need to really clean your tongue. I suggest you get an OraBrush tongue cleaner because it is both a brush and a scraper. Here is their website:
