Have good oral hygiene by brushing with antibacterial toothpaste after each meal, and by also brushing the tongue. Changing toothbrush every two months. Flossing at least once a day. Removable prosthetics (dentures or partials) should not be worn during the night and should be properly cleaned before putting them back in the mouth.
Visit the dentist regularly for dental exams, at least twice a year, to verify the state of the gums and detect the presence of gingivitis, periodontitis, xerostomia, or all other problems that could cause halitosis.
Drink lots of water to keep the mouth moist.
Chew a sugar-free gum to stimulate the production of saliva.
Use a mouthwash, preferably antibacterial, to eliminate the bacteria that cause halitosis.
if it’s stemming from the mouth – try breath rx – available at drug stores OTC – rinse, toothpaste and tongue scrapper – make sure to scrape the tongue!!! Also floss daily to disrupt the bacteria that cause the bad breath. If all else fails, see your regular doctor – may be caused by acid reflux or even a sinus infection.
First, find the cause of the bad breath to ensure you get the right cure. Bad breath has many causes aside from the moth, so best to know which one is the culprit so that you get real results from the remedy. ask your doctor about it, he might have a good cure. Otherwise, having good dental hygiene (regular brushing, flossing, and mouthwash to keep away bad bacteria) is a really helpful natural remedy for bad breath. Keep yourself hydrated as well (prevent dry mouth as possible) and bring mints if your must. Hope it helps you!
