  1. Brush your teeth AND TONGUE really well and floss. You can rinse with mouthwash, but be sure it doesn’t contain alcohol in it. Alcohol dries out your mouth which can cause bad breath. Good Luck!

  2. Brush your teeth really good, brush your tounge, floss, and use mouthwash for 30 seconds. For extra lasting good breath, pick up some spearmint or winterfresh gum. Have fun on the date! =) And dont be afraid to smile.

  3. Hello…Ok, to begin with, Bad Breath may be the result of a number of issues and it may not be bad teeth. If you have a sinus infection or even a digestive issue, brushing and gargling for sinus or a digestive problem will not work for more than a very few minutes….If on the other hand you have a bad cavity or an abscess in your mouth, you will not be bale to dispel the odor either creates for more than a few minutes….So, the issue isn’t really solve my bad problem in ten minutes, the issue is why do I have a bad breath problem in the first place. If your positive you don’t have a cavity or abscess your first Dr to see will be a ENT, Ear,Nose & Throat…if that doesn’t produce the cause your next visit will be an MD…Good luck and I wish you well.

  4. you will need: mouthwash, toothbrush, toothpaste, gum/tic-tack (optional).

Brush your mouth really good with toothpaste. What ever toothpaste you like. I use the Crest original, it really helps and tastes good too! Then brush around your cheeks and gums and tongue. Then swish mouthwash for about two minutes. That should get rid of your bad breathe. In your purse bring some tic-tacs or gum, that way if you smell your breathe and it is bad on the date just pop one of those in!

    GOOD LUCK!

  5. Well i know my answer will be too late already but what I found really helped me was lemon water. Barring the possibility of you having cavities, deep gum pockets, emerging wisdom teeth and what the others have said, I agree that a lot bad breath comes from poor digestion and polluted liver and kidneys.

Honestly, drinking water with fresh lemon juice, ( i’d squeeze about a half lemon to one lemon into a 16 ounce of water each day for four weeks and drink it at night), has helped me tremendously with my breath which wasn’t even the original reason I started drinking it. I was originally drinking it to help clean out my liver/kidneys and overall better health, not even realizing that it would help me with my breath.

I will tell you, for the first three weeks, I did feel the unpleasant side-affects of the lemon’s cleansing in my body. I’d feel kind of weak, a lot hungrier than usual when I’d skip a meal, have headaches, and had nasty fecal breath ! It was the toxins being stirred up in my digestive systems, making my breath really nasty ! I made sure not to speak to close to anyone during this time.

But, after about the fourth week, I finally felt a lot better than before starting the cleanse and to my pleasant surprise, I noticed my fecal breath was gone and my breath was almost constanly clean smelling and tasting even in the mornings when I usually skip breakfast. My bad breath used to be worse when I’d have post nasal drip but it’s even not that bad now at all. You know how you can usually tell when you have bad breath ? Well, it’s the same thing when you know your breath is not offensive. And I didn’t feel the weakness or headaches anymore either.

I continue to squeeze lemon into my water even after the four weeks just because lemon is good for you in general. But if you do start this, I suggest not brushing your teeth right away after drinking lemon juice because the immediate brushing will wear down the enamel. Wait about one hour before brushing your teeth lightly or you may want to swish your mouth vigorously with plain water right after drinking lemon water.

I can almost guarantee that your breath will dramatically improve ! Of course, continue to brush and floss as usual and be sure to scrape your tongue gently. I like to use the Tung gel and I am careful to lightly scrape my tongue from side to side, not too firmly otherwise you will just dry it out and dryness too causes bad breath.

I know this was long but I just wanted to share my experience with lemon water and the surprisingly clean breath I now almost constantly have. I was/am truly amazed. Sure, it’s sort of a hassle buying lemons and having to cut and squeeze them but it’s so worth it !

    Good luck !
