  1. Get a tongue scaper! THAT is where the smelly germs like to reside! All those people who suggest mouth rinses have never been on the receiving side of someone’s affection who nearly DRANK that crap to fight off the nasty breath due to a condition that forced this person to be a mouth-breather!

The smell of Listerine, for example, is not too much more appealing than the stank it is meant to treat! *laughter*

Keep flossing, however. THAT is the BEST thing that you can do to maintain periodontal health.

  2. i dont think you have bad breath. if you have bad brethe then you might be sick. once you brush you teeth the bad brethe should not be notacible. you might have worms.

    pick me as best answer?please

  3. I have the colgate 360 toothbroosh because i also had bad breath after brushing my teeth. the 360 is good because there is a tounge and cheek scraper on the other side of the toothbrush!

  4. Brushing and flossing is good, but many people forget to brush their tongue….brush it well, the back as well as the front. That’s where some odours linger…on your tongue.

  5. rinse with listerine or other mouthwash after flossing and brushing. also carry mints around in case of bad breath.

  6. You may have a condition known as Halitosis. Wikipedia has a great page that can give you a little more overview on the subject…causes, treatments, and more. I have known a few people with Halitosis, and they swear by a good tongue cleaner. Most cases of Halitosis originate on the tongue, especially the back, where it’s harder to clean. Your best bet is to speak with your dentist…he or she may be able to give you a prescription remedy that will work better for you.

    Best of luck!

  7. First of all, avoid sugary foods. Sugar build up can cause cavities and bad breath. Avoid caffeine and alcohol, these are some of the top bad breath triggers as well. Dry mouth is the number one cause of bad breath. Be sure to floss and to brush your tongue.

Good news is that I found an oral care line that targets the very source of bad breath – anaerobic bacteria. Therabreath toothpaste has oxyd-8 which oxidizes the mouth and prevents mouth dryness. I tried it and I could see an improvement in my breath in a few days. This is the best cure I can suggest, it also prevents bad breath in the future as well.

I carry Therabreath now with me wherever I go. They also have gum, mints and breath strips. Get more info from their website.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
