  3. ok should try and avoid using human toothpaste as your dogs will not like the taste. The smell from your dogs teeth may be due to dental disease. it is the highest disease in dogs world wide. Have a look at your dogs teeth are they a little yellow or brown? if they are then they may need to have a scale and polish at your vets. there is animal tooth paste you can get usually chicken or beef flavor for them. there are a few different products you can get like gels or even liquids you put into their water but in the end if they have dental disease and have tartar build up all these products will only help to a certain point and may never get rid of the smell till their teeth are cleaned by the vet. best of luck

  4. if you go to somewhere like pets at home they do special toothpaste for dogs. but its whether you are brave enough to do it because my dog bit me when i tried !!! if its really bad why not ask your vet xxx

  5. 1. Have the teeth checked & cleaned.

    2. Use ONLY dog toothpaste. Mine prefer poultry flavored!

    3. Give the dog bones to chew. Keeps them busy & scrapes off tartar.

    4. Clothespin on your nose! KIDDING!

BE CAREFUL with Greenies. You have to follow the instructions exactly. They have had a lot of problems with not digesting properly because people gave their dogs too much. See the article:

  6. use human tooth past if you want you dog to die.it cant spit it out.like the below ansers their are things to help the problem.

  7. RAW bones like beef ribs – with some meat still attached is ideal. This is what cleand a dogs teeth in nature – the rubbing of the bone repeatedly against his teeth gets rid of plaque and gunk that harbors bacteria (the source of the smell). Make sure it is RAW uncooked bones.

  8. Hi,

If there’s a problem with your dog’s teeth, the first sign is often bad breath. Brush his teeth regularly, preferably every day. Be sure to use special toothpaste made for dogs; never use human toothpaste.

It’s important to have your vet examine his teeth and gums at least once a year. This is the best way to catch problems before they become too serious. If his breath could still knock you out from 20 paces, that’s a sign of a health problem, and you need help from a vet. Please visit this link for more info.

    Hope it helps.

  9. First off, take them to a vet for a good teeth cleaning. Then get dog toothpaste (definitely not human) and a dog tooth brush. Dental health is as important to dogs as it is to humans. Poor dental health will cause other health problems, including (but not limited to) heart problems.

  10. Minty dog treats. Helped my dog.
Make sure they half some kind of meaty flavor or your dogs won’t go for it.

  11. Go to Petco/PetSmart and buy the dog toothpaste & brush. They have a package for about $9 that has a tube of toothpaste (either beef, chicken or peanut) and a toothbrush with a small and large end and a finger brush.

Find a comfortable location to sit with your dog and put a little paste on your finger. Let them sniff and taste it. Work up to rubbing your finger around on their teeth with some paste on it. Eventually put some paste on the brush and try that. It may take a few weeks but they should eventually get used to it.

I brush my two Chi/Poodle mixes teeth every other day. When I go to the cupboard to get the paste out they are running and in the chair before I can even sit down.

    Good Luck!
