How would you tell to your close friend that she has a bad breath without hurting her feelings?

bad breath
yolly asked:

I am so afraid telling her that she has a bad breath because I dont want to hurt her but everytime I talk to her or she talk to me I cannot avoid turning my face to my left or right just to avoid the smell of her breath. I use to talk to a person face to face and looking to that person eyes when having conversation coz i think that is the proper way to talk to everyone but when it comes to her I cannot stop myself talking to her not face to face.

  1. if you tell her the right way, then she wont get mad,
i dont think she would get mad anyways, because shes your best friend, and you are there to support her

  2. Try offering her a peice of gum or a mint, or say something like (whoa morning breath! wanna mint?) in a funny way. It usually works for me.

  3. Um yeah, who wants to smell her breath all day?
I would tell her offer her some gum and then make a comment about my breath and chew some gum too.

  4. i agree w/ everyone above me. u should be able to tell her w/out her getting mad.

  5. If she’s a close enough friend, she’d gladly accept the advice. Just tell her that “I need to tell you something because if it were me I’d want somebody to tell me”…

One time we were in a store after lunch, when my husband started talking to the salesman. I swear, his breath was so bad I think there was a visible green cloud 😛 Afterward I told him, and he was happy I said something, and now keeps Listerine breath spray in the car in case it happens again.

  6. tell her outright. sure, it’s hurt her feelings but ure doin her a favor. i mean no person is gonna want to be close to her and no guy wuld hit on her if she has bad breath.
