  1. before you go to the doctor about this, think about his diet.
what kinds of foods is he eating? certain foods can cause bad breath, especially fattening/unhealthy foods.
try giving him lots of fruits and veggies for a week and see if anything changes.

  2. I don’t have kid’s of my own, but when my cousin was a toddler her breath stank so bad! She’s fine now – no teeth or health problems. But when she was a toddler she did eat a lot of junk food?

    Sorry i wasn’t much help

  3. bad breath or halitosis isnt always connected to teeth/gums & tongue it could be waht your toddler has eaten and acid reflux is causing the bad breath .
best seek a dentist or doctors advice try a diluted mouthwash after cleaning teeth & change toothbrush regulary

  4. I am a dentist and I get this complaint from moms a lot. Most of the time the child has some type of infection. Usually it’s an abscessed tooth that is draining so the child has no severe pain. Occasionally it is a tonsillar infection. I would strongly recommend having your child examined by a dentist.

  5. bringing your child to the dentist is the best thing you can do to help him. a dentist may help spot the cause of bad breath in children. it may be an oral infection or abscessed tooth. you must know that bad breath has a lot of causes like dry mouth, poor oral habits, gum disease, eating garlicky meal, medications and stomach related problems. visit for more bad breath care tips.

  6. Bad breath is a serious social problem for many people regardless of age and status in life. Brushing the teeth to remove plaque and tartar helps, as does treating canker sores that may appear on the gums and taking other steps to maintain good oral hygiene. Unless bad breath is kept under control by tooth brushing and flossing and where necessary, the use of antibacterial products at the condition will recur.
