i’ve been in a relationship wit this guy for about a month and I never really noticed it before. But now that we spend so much time together I cant ignore the smell. I offer him gum and mints but they dont help. The worst-case scenario is that he might be genetically predisposed to halitosis, because his mom’s breath is pretty bad too and his breath is a big turnoff for me..what should I do?

Unfortunatley, you are going to have to find a way to tell him. He might have an underlying medical or dental condition that causes it.
Honestly? If you love him, then you should love him enough to tell him. In a kind way of course. Play it off like chew a piece a gum then offer him one. Or just come out and tell him about scope, listerine, etc. If he loves you, he’ll understand.
tell him he needs a couple of tic tacs but tell him nicely not to harsh
if you think you are in a relationship where you can talk about things then id tell him maybe he should see a dentist if you know he didnt brush then say honey did you brush today but always say not to be mean but you have a prob there is no real nice way to say these things
Speak to him about it don’t let the boy go through life making people run from him. If toothpaste and mouthwash don’t work for him then he should talk to his dentist or doctor. It could be something as simple as his diet.
Honey i been there with my kids dad and you can imagine what i went through. So i say to you please tell him don’t worry about hurting his feelings cause its no easy way to say it, just tell him .You can suggest that he go to the dentist cause he might have some kind of gum infection or a disease in the mouth that could be causing the bad breath. That’s what my kids dad had. I hope this can be of some help.
LOL TELL HIM TO BRUSH HIS TEETH
Bad breath is caused often because you haven’t brushed and flossed well .If you don’t keep teeth and gums free of the bacterial buildup, they’ll start to cause odor as the bacteria rot leftover food particles in your mouth. A few seeds of cardamom chewed for a brief while will clear your mouth of bad breath. Chew parsley leaves, which are sure to keep your breath fresh. More useful remedies at
