Does it really whiten you teeth, is it safe to use.? But i’m more curious on the bad breath idea. Does it really treat it? Has anyone tried it and if so how do you use it. Like what are the instructions for whitening teeth and freshen breath with baking soda?

  1. yes i do believe so but that doesnt mean poor baking soda on your teeth the toothpaste i use has baking soda in it its made by crest

  2. Baking soda is quite good in removing some plaque and other stains. It doesn’t really whiten the teeth but they do feel really clean. Bicarb is not dangerous. People used to use it with water for indigestion. Just rinse your mouth out several times to get rid of the gritty residue.

  4. We used to use a mixture of baking soda and salt; about 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 tsp. salt. Yes, it works, how well depends upon the individual (you know, individual results may vary). I prefer using it to toothpaste; of course, tooth paste is less bother.

  5. I don’t think baking soda will whiten it as much as the combination of perxoide and baking soda that is either a whitening kit from your dentist, or some of the toothpastes. The toothpastes aren’t as good as what the dentist has. It may be slight if at all. It does freshen your mouth. I remember Oprah telling one time that baking soda is all that she uses.
