Nuya B asked:
Friend of mine has bad breath that mints and candy and eating food cant help.
sorry i typed the question fast…..what can you do to offer a friend help with bad breath and the problem is not his teeth???

The problem is probably gastrointestinal. A trip to the doctor would help.
Maybe if they can’t afford to go to the doctor, try some heavy / strong mouth wash.
it seems that your friend doesnt have regular BM’s and you should consider a total body cleanse. That way you can both do it and your friend doesnt feel singled out and in the end you can both benefit no more bad breath, clear skin and you both are a bit healthier.
Sometimes sinuses cause really bad breath. (Almost smells like crap, literally.) If they have allergy problems or sinus issues then the drainage going down their throat can cause horrible breath. Medicines for those symptoms can help somewhat. Also, a tongue scraper and listerine from a local pharmacy can keep their breath smelling better because the tongue holds alot of stinky bacteria. You just use them when you brush and they really help some people. Good luck!
sometimes people can have a constant bacterial infection of the tonsils called chronic cryptic tonisilitis. nasty pieces of hardened puss sometimes come out of your tonsils because of the constant infection. the best thing i’ve read to help combat the problem is using a product called therabreath and or taking a q tip and cleaning out the little holes in the tonsils. some people soak the q tip in hydrogen peroxide before doing that. hydrogen peroxide is also a great mouthwas for getting rid of bacteria as long as its not swallowed.
ultimately your friend could look into getting the tonsils removed if its a persistent problem because the infection can spread to other areas of their body and become dangerous.
hope that helps
The problem is probably the bacteria that lives on the tongue. You can have the best brushing and flossing skills, but still have bad breath. Here’s what your friend can do to get rid of this embarrassing problem. Use a tongue brush/scrapper every single day. You can get a combination one at just about any store in with the toothbrushes and floss. I brushed my tongue with my toothbrush every time I brushed. When I used the scrapper for the 1st time, I was surprised at how much gunk came off.
So if I was you, this is how I’d go about this without hurting your friend’s feelings. Purchase one of the combination brush/scrapper and give it to him/her. Just tell him/her that you got one to try and you loved it so much that you wanted to share the experience with him/her. I actually dropped this hint to a few of my friends and they got one to try…they loved it plus no more bad breath (they had no idea).
there are many causes of bad breath. bad breath can be caused by a dirty mouth, eating a garlicky meal, having poor oral hygiene, medications, dry mouth, gum infections and diseases as well as having stomach related problems. bad breath treatments can come after you know what is the cause of it. it is best to seek the help of a dental expert to help determine the cause. visit for more bad breath care tips.
