rahide bones or brush his teeth
Chew toys!
Also, get a doggy toothbrush and tooth paste. If you can’t brush them, at least get the doggie tooth paste on it’s teeth. Make sure it’s for dogs tho, not human.
I have a great pyrenees puppy and we brush her teeth with a toothbrush and small amount of children’s toothpaste. Things like Dentabones or chew sticks help also. Hard dog food helps to clean the teeth to.
you can buy tooth past for dogs and dog breath mints.
I’m so jealous. I want a ridgeback! That being said, have you tried brushing her teeth? It sounds wierd, but it’s necessary. You can get a special tooth brush from your vet, or do what I do, and use an old one of yours. Don’t use regular toothpaste, you can get something from your vet, or don’t use anything at all.
Be careful w/ this b/c you can really get ripped off at your local pet store.
1. Scoop the poop. Dogs have a rather disgusting habit of enjoying their food more than once.
2. Use dry food. This keeps their teeth healthier and reduces food remaining b/twn teeth.
3. Invest in bones as treats instead of the soft or chewy type. These actually clean the dog’s teeth.
4. You can always brush their teeth. Dog toothpaste is enzymatic (spelling???) which is a fancy word meaning that you don’t have to scrub rigorously b/c the paste actually breaks the plaque down by itself. Even w/ this advantage, this can still be difficult given your dogs temperament.
Good luck!
there are lots of stuff that make a dogs breath smell better, for example there are rahide bones, chew toys, doggy breath strips, and dog mints.
hi
brudh its teeth if it will let you alternatively get the vet to clean them and hard food to chew cleans teeth xxxxxxxxxxxx
I agree with all the above ideas. Also you might want to think about using Breathalyzer. It is a water additive sold at pet stores and Vet offices. It helps with bad breath and is fairly inexpensive.
Get her teeth cleaned (dental). Yes, I agree this costs some money – between $150-200. If you cannot afford that their are some dental bones you can give him/her to make the breath smell better. Doggie’s bad breath can be a cause of a number of things, tarter on teeth, infected or broken decayed teeth, or a bad stomach/intestine. If you have the money i’d take the dod to the vet….
