Buy a doggie tothbrush and doggie toothpaste.Dogs get plaque just like people.Petsmart has them.
You need to that the dog to have it’s teeth checked and possibly professionally cleaned. If that doesn’t help take the dog to the vet it may need medication by mouth….

There are dog biscuits on the market that can take care of the problem with bad doggie breath.
It could be that my dog’s just weird, but I have a pot of mint growing in the back yard, and my yorkie goes over every day and chews some leaves. I assumed he was concerned about his breath as well.
Brush your dog’s teeth or buy dental chews. I use dog toothpaste & a child’s toothbrush to brush the teeth of my two dogs every other day. On the opposite days I give them CET dental chews that I get from the vet for a very reasonable cost ($7 bag lasts me a month!)
This routine helps keep the plaque off their teeth & helps to keep their breath fresh.
Tartar build up is very common in small breeds. They are also prone to having bad teeth and gingivitis. I have to poms and take them in regularly to get their teeth cleaned approximately every 2 years.
I would strongly suggest to have your dogs teeth cleaned. It makes a world of difference!
First, take the dog to the vet…have his teeth checked, he could have a abscess, gingivitis, other mouth ailments or need a cleaning. If his teeth and mouth are not the issue it may be something in his diet, what he’s chewing or even the treats he’s given. Brush is teeth regularly and maintain good oral hygiene.
Bad breath comes from gum disease. Have his teeth cleaned by the vet. Then, follow up with good dental care. 1) Feed him dry food to eat or give large bones to chew–soft food causes plaque build up, hard food helps to scrap it off. 2) Give dental chews like CET chews or Greenies, which have been reformulated, are safe for your dog to chew, and work wonders on bad breath. 3) Brush your dog’s teeth.
My uncle gives his two dogs human breath mints- like altoids or something. But you can also buy dog mints at pet stores.
Boy, I sure wish I had the answer for this one! I have a westie that has the same problem. The vet has regulary brushed his teeth to no avail. I’ll be watching your answers.
See if your dog’s baby teeth are all gone.Might be his puppy teeth staying behind his adult teeth creating spaces that couldn’t be cleared which might explain the smell .Try brushing his teeth once in 3 days.Finally there lots of biscuits of chewing toys tat helps!
