  1. Do you have any rotten teeth? Check on this. One thing you can do is to use listerine mouth wash, it disinfect your mouth, kill the bacteria and get rid of the plague from areas that your tooth-brush cannot reach.

  2. Drink more water. A normal person should drink at least 2.5 liter of water everyday. Do you achieve that?
Some more, have your meal in time, and do not skip meal.

  3. Try brushing your tongue. Most of the bacteria that cause bad breath, or halitosis, reside on the tongue. You can get special tongue brushes that clean it better or you can use your toothbrush. Don’t be too rough, the idea is just to scrape off the film of bacteria – not your tastebuds! Also, you can use a mouthwash after brushing which would help too. Basically, good oral hygiene is key, which you seem to understand.
Do you drink coffee or eat a lot of sugary things? Coffee can give you bad breath while sugar can be used by the bacteria in your mouth to make bad tasting and bad smelling metabolites. Brushing your teeth or using mouthwash after eating or drinking sugary things can help, but don’t brush your teeth immediately after eating or drinking something acidic (citrus fruits or juices like orange juice, sodas like Coke, etc) because it can wear out your enamel (protective outer coating on your teeth).
If that doesn’t help, it might be the result of medicines or drugs you are using, or because of a medical condition. If that’s the case and tongue brushing/mouthwash doesn’t work, see your dentist.

  4. you really need to floss your teeth also, that will help rid of food (bacteria )between your teeth. that could become stinky

  5. kates right but it goes deeper then that… some ppl need perscribed toothepaste//brushes but before u do this.. try flossing one every day.. and rinsing with listerene or act w/e
brushing ur teethe is for ur teeth but a huge percentage of bad breathe is from the bacteria on ur gums tongue and throat and inbetween ur teeth… so u need to kill them – floss listerene etc
i like chewing gum but in a relationship and ur makin out or something all the time i hate spitting it out or focusing on bad breathe so if the flossing and listerene doesnt work go to the doctor
    Good Luck

  6. The reason you have bad breath is because you do not understand the real cause of bad breath. It is the tongue, not the teeth. Bacteria live on the top of the tongue and produce sulfur containing compounds that smell, that is bad breath. Mints, gums, etc., only cover up bad breath for a very short time. To cure bad breath, you must properly and regularly clean the top of the tongue to get rid of the bacteria. Use a tongue cleaner that has both a brush and a scraper so you clean out the deep indentations of the tongue surface. Learn more about the cause and cure of bad breath at
