All you have to do is say “Hey does my breath stink?” Breath in his face and wait for an answer. Hopefully he will ask you the same thing and then you can tell him it does! I tried it once but it was because my friend had parsley in her teeth. It worked!
offer him breath mints often and have one your self..or gum.

or buy sum and offer him 1 wen ur out

If he is your boyfriend he shouldnt be that offended, maybe just alittle embarassed but everyone has bad breath sometime in the day.
Its only awkward because you havent dated along time, but you should be fine.
Im sure he would be more mad if you let him roam the earth like that then have his own girlfriend not tell him.
Just carry some mints and gum with you and when you feel the fumes, offer some gum or mint. He might take the hint, or after awhile.
Just tell him in a funny way..
For me, i used to have a bf with bad breath too, and im the kind of person who hate bad breath. So i just bought him minty sugarless candy and would kiss him everytime he pops one in his mouth, so that he gets the idea that minty breath = a kiss from me. Actually i got this idea from my uncle who used this method to discipline his child. Naughty behaviour = a stern warning or a light smack on the hand, and good behaviour = a candy or a bear hug. try it , it works 99% , of course, you must not let him know where you get this method from…..
Send him an anonamous gift of toothbrush, toothpaste, two bottles of mouthwash one for before brushing one to use after, and some pkg of listerine tabs, along with a note, that
says you are very nice, however your breath isn’t, please for the sake of everyone you know use these products on a regular basis. Mail it from a location that isn’t close to you. Now if/ when he does tell you about the pkg, don’t comment unless he ask you, “do you think I have Bad breath” or “do you think my breath is that bad, or why didn’t you tell me my breath was so bad?? Then you tell him, about liking him so much that you didn’t want to hurt his feelings or whatever it is that you feel you can say to him, regardless let him ask the question, never let him or anyone else know what you did, ever. Or be blunt, and say I really like you, but not your breath.
