Bad breath?

bad breath
farmgirlup84 asked:

My husband has some serious bad breath, any suggestions for helping it? He brushes and flosses regularly, but even right after he finishes brushing his teeth the bad breath returns…it’s seriously dampening our “romance”.

Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks!!

  1. get a tongue scrapper also..

    and perhaps use mouthwash

or get him to eat chewing gum, sugar free sort as saliva helps stop germs

maybe its something in the diet their eating also, that doesn’t help

  2. He probably has a cavity! Get him to go to the dentist to get some xrays. Some cavities are not visible! And yes, decay stinks!

  3. tell him to eat some cilandro, studies have shown that cilandro kill the bacteria starting from the stomach and its really good. Also tell him to brush his tongue and use scope after and always carry some tic tacs. good luck

  4. MAYBE HE SHOULD GET A TOOTHBRUSH WITH A TOUNGE SCRAPPER AND MOUTHWASH, THAT WILL KILL THE BAD BREATH! MAKE SURE HE BRUSHES AFTER EVERY MEAL

  5. TRY DRINKING MORE WATER-SCRAPING THE TONGUE-SWOOSH WARM SALT WATER TWICE A DAY-SEE A DENTIST.

  6. Bad breath can be an indicator of some troublesome things:

Acid reflux, which can be a precursor to cancer of the esophagus.

Sinus problems, while less troublesome that acid reflux may indicate the need to examine the sinus areas for obstructions. Does he snore?

Does he smoke? Or chew tobacco? These may be culprits.

A vitamin deficiency. Chewable vitamin C may help this.

If this is a new problem, has he noticed any thing changing regarding the health of his gums, or signs of an abcess tooth, that can occur without pain for some time? (Swelling of the gums in one particular spot, and drainage from that area, or bleeding may be indicators.)

Can you tell if the offensive odor is primarily from the mouth, or the nose, or a combination of both? If the nose is part of the problem, then saline nose drops may help.

Is the situation constant in its severity? Or does it get worse after he eats certain food high in acids?

Do a search for more ideas. They shouldn’t be hard to find. Check out Web MD.

  7. when was the last time he went to the dentist he might have decay it might not be visable he might need xrays or there is a thing called halitosis he might have that ,which is which is caused by poor oral hygiene or eating lots of smelly foods or it could be caused by an underlying illness such as throat infection, sinusitis, lung infection gum disease and occasionally it may be due to more serious disease such as acute renal failure, chronic renal failure or bowel obstruction im a dental nurse i would suggest getting him check from the dentist first and then if they dont find anything go to the doctors hope this helps
