Bad Breath Cures, Tips and Remedies

i will be going out with my best friends later in one hours time and i just ate food that makes my breath stink a little.what is the most fastest and quickest way to get rid of the smell??
p.s:i dont have a breath spray
i have limited amount of cash at hand but i still try my best to buy tooth polishers and even brushing my teeth 4 times a day plus i floss and uses mouth wash. but the fresh breath will only last for a few hours then it will be gone and the bad breath will start smelling. for now, i am just using breath spray when interacting with people.
I did it last night for the first time and they foamed/ drooled heavily for a minute. After that they were back to normal.
I really do not want to get their teeth cleaned professionally because i’ve had dogs all my life and their oral hygeine has never been an issue.
for the record, the breath spray is in fact alcohol free. they do indeed exist.
She can’t kiss me half the time without being disgusted and it’s hard for us to hold up a face to face conversation.
it’s gone for a while when I brush my teeth or use mouth wash, but it doesn’t take long to come back, even without eating anything else.
i’ve used breath spray, gum, and both at the same time, the bad breath can still be smelled. I think it’s been this way for a while but never affected my life this badly before.
I do have bad teeth that need fixing but I THINK i’ve had these breath issues before they got bad too.
Please any advice on what is causing it, how to cure it, or even quick fix bad breath remedies would be greatly appreciated.
